Greetings from PVN!
Following the instructions from the CDC and Georgia Department of Public Health, the Pleasant Valley North church campus will remain closed for worship services, ministries, and weekly gatherings until further notice. This is a very difficult decision. However, it is for the well-being of our church family and our community that this step must be taken.
In the meantime, we will continue to live stream our Sunday morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. much like we did last Sunday. This will be made available via Facebook Live and the PVN church website. Additionally, the pastoral staff will continue to help folks stay connected by uploading occasional sermons geared toward adults, youth, and children. We hope our website and Facebook pages will be valuable tools to remain engaged and “plugged in” to the church during this time.
To folks in our church family who don’t use technology like Facebook or Internet, a CD or DVD of the Sunday morning worship service can be mailed to you, if you would like. Please contact the church office to sign up and indicate whether you prefer a CD or a DVD.
Also – because so many of you have asked, we do want to mention that any tithes and offerings you would like to give as the Lord leads you, can be given to the church by mail, by bringing it by the church during normal business hours, or by giving it online at pleasantvalleynorth.com. In fact, someone gave us a great idea, and we are in the process of putting up a secure mailbox in front of the church office for your financial gifts or other correspondence, if someone comes by the church and wants to use that method rather than entering the building.
With all of that said, please know that we are praying for you and with you – we want everyone to remain safe and healthy during these unprecedented times in our community and country. I also hope and pray for everyone’s spiritual health during this time – please make a special effort to stay connected to God and the PVN church family through Bible study, fervent prayer, and family devotions — and call on us if you need us. God bless you!
In His love and care,
3/16/2020 10:30 am update on Weekly Small Groups
For the upcoming week, all small groups meeting on the PVN campus have been canceled. This includes any group meeting during the morning or evening hours. Additionally, Wednesday night service and all associated ministries will be canceled too. Stay tuned to this web page for continuing updates.
3/14/2020 1:20 pm update on Sunday services
Thank you for your continued support of the church. It is certainly a unique time. However, Christ is still in control. Nothing that is occurring now is too big for Him. Over the coming weeks, PVN plans to keep you updated from this page along with notifying you of information regarding further service cancellations and/or resumptions.
PVN will offer an online live worship service tomorrow morning at 10:45 am. This will be available to all Facebook users via Facebook Live on the Pleasant Valley North page. It will also be available on the home page of pleasantvalleynorth.com. It is important to remain spiritually involved with God while in person services are canceled. The live online service can assist in that task. Further, a Children’s Church lesson will be available to all families with children via email and Facebook this afternoon. This resource can be used to teach your children a lesson tomorrow morning. It includes a step by step approach with a lesson along with hands on activities.
God bless you.
3/13/2020 11:35 am update on Sunday services
After careful consideration, all PVN services for Sunday will be cancelled. This includes the 8:30 am and 10:45 am morning services, Sunday School, and all Sunday night ministries, small groups, and worship. This decision was made after evaluating all current information from the state government, understanding the need for social distancing, and considering the well-being of the church community. Currently, PVN has no known members who have contracted the virus. It is prudent at this time to follow current recommendations to ensure minimal spread of the virus.
The PVN staff is working quickly to offer a live online service this Sunday morning via Facebook Live. Once those details have been finalized, information will be sent via Facebook and the church’s website.
