Extra! Extra! From Pastor Eric

The Bible teaches us to make the most of every opportunity to expand God’s kingdom.  Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:16 that it is imperative to “make the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”  He knew the world was in desperate need to hear the message of Christ.  The only way he felt that message could overcome man’s sinful nature was through the continual and expedient witness of God’s people.   This means through both our words and actions.  Establishing our priorities and scheduling our lives so that God’s will is visible in each one helps to achieve Paul’s commandment.

Throughout 2013, the Children’s Ministry will focus on two necessary but rewarding goals: providing a foundational understanding of God’s plan while guiding and promoting a relationship with Him.  Two upcoming events where those goals can be achieved are the AWANA games and Sparks-A-Rama on February 2 and summer camp scheduled for July 1st-5th.  All children completing 3rd-5th grades at the end of this school year are eligible for camp.  The deadline to register and pay a $50.00 deposit is Friday, February 13th.  Visit  http://www.pvnstudents.org/#/next-generation-children and click on “Children’s Camp” to register.  I pray that God blesses all the children of the PVN family and our community this year.
